About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Start a cafe! Facebook.com/llamalloyd

ABOUT ME Music is my girlfriend, film is my mistress and I have one-night stands with street art and photography.

PLEASE use the "STAY WITH HIM"-button if your correspondence has to do with my couch! Not the Message-button! That helps me remember when you're coming over, thanks! Also, read my profile before you request my couch!

PHILOSOPHY Here's looking at you, kid!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm pretty active, hosting, surfing, creating events. I also run a cafe where couchsurfers can get what they need: a place to put your bag during the day, charge your phone, print your boarding pass. Swing by: llamalloyd.se

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've had so much fun because of CS, I've driven 11000 km in two and a half weeks through North America, staying in a mountain lodge and most of all; met a lot of interesting people and many new friends.

Interests

travelling music (check http://www.llamalloyd.se) films (street) art

Music, Movies & Books

I'm listening to everything that makes me tick, from Nick Drake to Tool, mostly "Sad Bastard Music" like Elliott Smith, The National etc. Cat Power and Aidan Moffat are my muses. I run a music blog where I interview artists about food and foodies about music! That blog is now transforming into the culture cafe that loves bikes! Llama Lloyd.se

Kubrick, P. T. Anderson, Coen Brothers, Medem, Pasolini, Tykwer etc.

I love Haruki Murakami's and Erlend Loe's novels, if there isn't one of those around in paperback I read classics and social commentary like Naomi Klein and Noam Chomsky. Right now (Aug 25th 2013) I'm reading: Bike snob abroad and Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the end of the world.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Seen paradise: Itacaré, Brazil in 2005. Bungyjumped from Eriksbergskranen, Gothenburg, when I was 15. Skydived with a cold (not recommended, you have to breathe through your nose, which you can't with a cold...). Roadtripped 11000 km in three weeks in the US/Canada (that's not enough time, dude!) with a fellow CSer spring 2009. Primal Scream, Hultsfred, 2000. Best gig ever, XTRMNTR. Among thousands of gigs. I love music.

Teach, Learn, Share

My geekiness is getting in the way of my nerdiness (Patton Oswalt). i.e. I know a lot of shit about culture, especially music and films. If you're a culture nerd you should really surf with me! ^_^

What I Can Share With Hosts

A laugh, a beer and some music you might not have heard!

Countries I've Visited

Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam

Countries I've Lived In

Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
