Overview
About Me
22 year-old straight male. Born and raised in Australia to Irish parents. Travelling in Europe on an Irish passport.
Recent graduate from a politics degree, where I majored in Counterterrorism Studies and International Development. Choosing to undertake a gap year now before pursuing a full-time career.
While studying, I worked for 4 years for a small family events company, during which I developed a diverse skillset. From hiring out slushy machines, to bartending & finger food service, I loved that everyday was different!
Additionally, I studied a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Diploma in late 2024 to broaden my job
prospects while travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Taking a gap year starting in April 2025.
While this will be my first trip using Couchsurfing, I have previous experience backpacking around E. Europe (3 weeks, July 2023) & Taiwan/Hong Kong (5 weeks, April/May 2024). Previously I have exclusively used hostels.

As a native English speaker and recent graduate of a TEFL Diploma, I would be happy to help hosts practice and improve their English.
