Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Ricardo and I am originally from Panama and now living in Bremen, Germany.
Long story short; I was born and raised in a city called David in Panama (central America). I was an AFS exchange student in Yachats, Oregon (USA) in High School back in 2005 after that I volunteered for the Intercultural Programs in Panama.
In 2015 I started my master studies in Production Engineering in Aachen Germany where I learned german and had an amazing time. After that, moved back to Panama, worked as a Junior Professor for Industrial Engineering and Logistics until recently (2024) when I moved back to Germany to work as a Research Associate in Production and Logistics and pursuing my PhD.
I love to travel, learn new languages, going out, meet new people and share culture and experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and share cultures as well as anecdotes and experiences. I can show you around the city (if I have time) and/or give you tips about what to visit where to eat and such.
If I am not hosting you we can still hang out and go for a drink.
Interests
I have been a Volunteer for AFS since 2006 and I am really engaged in intercultural learning
Besides that, I love too cook; my famous dish is Risotto with Pumpkin (maybe you will try it)
I like outdoor activities like going for long walks, hiking or just enjoying the summer at the park.
I play the piano (and used to play guitar and saxophone) and I enjoy singing Karaoke (not that I can sing good )
Professionally I am an Industrial Engineer so yes I love science and technology
I like to go out to a bar or restaurant and have a nice time. And of course, dancing.
