Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I like discovering places in a more authentic way—through people, not just the usual “brochure” spots. I really enjoy cultural exchange: genuine conversations, local tips, stories, and shared moments (even something simple like a coffee or dinner).

I also like traveling at a slower pace and, sometimes, while working remotely. For me, Couchsurfing is an easy and human way to build real connections and make the travel experience more meaningful. Often, the best memories come from conversations with new people.

[IT] Mi sono iscritto a Couchsurfing perché mi piace scoprire le città in modo più autentico, attraverso le persone e non solo i posti “da brochure”. Credo molto nello scambio culturale: due chiacchiere vere, consigli locali, storie ed esperienze condivise (anche davanti a una cena o un caffè).

Mi piace viaggiare con calma e, quando capita, anche in modalità smart working: Couchsurfing per me è un modo semplice e umano per creare connessioni reali e vivere il viaggio con più significato. In generale, i ricordi migliori spesso nascono proprio dalle conversazioni con persone nuove.

I’m a respectful, tidy, and discreet guest: I keep shared spaces clean and I’m happy to adapt to your house rules and routine. I enjoy sharing a coffee or an aperitivo and having a nice chat. If we get along, I’d also be happy to have dinner together 🙂. I can help with small practical things (tidying up, light errands) and, if needed, I’m also glad to help with tech stuff (PC/Wi-Fi/phone).

Sono un ospite rispettoso, ordinato e discreto: tengo gli spazi puliti e mi adatto alle abitudini di casa. Mi fa piacere condividere un caffè o un aperitivo e fare due chiacchiere. Se c’è sintonia, volentieri anche una cena insieme 🙂. Posso dare una mano con piccole cose pratiche (riordino, commissioni leggere) e, se serve, anche un aiuto “tech” (PC/Wi-Fi/telefono).
