ABOUT ME

where I've been: farm boy, college geek, seminary, San Quentin organist, mortuary night attendent, peace activist, hippie, singer, dancer, pianist, french hornist, online educator, trainer, coach, photographer, collector, writer, designer and more. I am grateful for life. In person I love to share stories. I am the wide-eyed with wonder kid wizard of joy, speaking of things that matter soul to soul.

PHILOSOPHY

We create our reality. We have freedom of choice. We are ultimately all part of and custodians of the life force, uniquely embued with power for self-expression through music, dance, poetry, writing, art, thought, and rational discourse, as well as any other craziness that propels us. I'm spiritual not religious, and I recognize that religions can provide rituals to assist growth especially in difficult times. God ain't got no body, on this plane, so advancing Spirit is up to us.

The people I've hosted have all been great. I yearn to travel, so at some point I'll be seeking couches in Europe (Czech & Slovak Republics, UK, Germany, maybe Australia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw Czech Republic before Russian Invasion. Met the daughter of Czech President Masaryk. Montreal Expo '67. The Haight-Ashbury; hippie communes; Food Conspiracies; Maggie's Farm; peace marches; the Berkeley Peace Brigade, War Resistor's League Peace Bus, first Gay Band, Gay Choruses, Gay Games, Berkeley Gay Rights Ordinance. Encounter groups, EST, Advocate Experience, Artist Conference Network. AIDS march on Washington. Went with Joan Baez to San Diego "Connie Vote" project, and later housed "The Connie 7" in my attic. Operated Electronic University Network, the pioneer in online education. Put Oregon Extension Service online, created www.themeadowhouse.com and www.ashlandmeadowhouse.com.

I hope I will one day be able to say I saw the beginnings of economic democratization through the internet and the spread of social entrepreneurship.
