ABOUT ME

Born to travel. I like to help others and some time ago lived in Nicaragua for three years, building houses. After 23 years in Dallas, Texas, I lived in Buenos Aires, Burlington, Vermont, upstate New York, and now live in Dallas, Texas, next door to two young grandsons. I am mostly retired but do some grantwriting for nonprofits. I am spontaneous but laid-back and love poking fun at the craziness of life. People from other cultures and countries have taught me a lot, but there's lots more to learn. I live in a tiny house and unfortunately cannot host others.

No couch at the moment but I love to surf and be in contact with fellow couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I had my own house, I enjoyed hosting couchsurfers from the US and other countries. I have couch surfed in Brazil and Nicaragua.

Interests

Traveling, meeting new people, beaches, mountains, national parks, reading, movies, dinners, sports. I love to do stuff outdoors: canoeing, backpacking, skiing, sailing, dune sliding...

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic rock is my favorite--it brings back some really interesting memories from the 60's and 70's. I read all kinds of books and am always reading something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping out of a raft and floating in, through, and under class 4 rapids in the Grand Canyon. Also, climbing to the top of Half-Dome in Yosemite National Park and Angels Landing in Zion National Park.
