CURRENT MISSION To tick off every country in the world (eventually). Currently around 70 ABOUT ME I travel quite a bit and often on my own so this is a great way to meet up with people. I live and work in Perth Australia on the railways there but I am mostly interested in seeing the different countries and cultures throughout the world. I don't ever have a tight itinerary and will often change it if I find somewhere I like. I like to see the night life if the places I visit

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I really like to meet new people and especially locals of the country I'm travelling to.. You always get a different and often unexpected perspective on the place you're visiting
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: right now I'm into classics from the 80s and 90s.. I'm talking Top gun, terminator series and the delightful action comedies that don't age (if you want to find one of these that you probably haven't seen, check Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise from the 80s... Still very watchable). I love the original Star Wars saga, the Beverly Hills cop series and always keen on a good comedy.. Looking forward to Ted 2 Music: dance and hip hop mostly.. Was just lucky enough to go to tomorrowland in Belgium this year Books: always reading something.. Usually I go on people's tips... But surprisingly I'm not reading anything at the moment!.. Ideas? I guess nowadays there should be a YouTube section.. Which I've been looking at the events surrounding Eastern Europe and the break up of Yugoslavia for this region of the trip

Well ok amazing.. I got quite far in bodybuilding and competed in the Mr Universe competition what seems a lifetime ago now
Teach, Learn, Share
Well learning is the big one really. As most of us on here would know.. You really learn about a country when you travel to it and live it.. A big part of that is the people and is the main reaso I'm on couch surfing. As for the teaching side of things.. I hope that my upbringing in Australia and the travelling and experiences I've done will be of interest to other couch surfers too!
My Interests
Sports, gym, movies, pubs/clubs. More of a city person than country I also am always keen to try something that I haven't done... Especially when away on travels.. Whether it be a canyon swing or a trip to the ballet if it's something different or unique to that country I'll give it a try
