About Me
**From now on, except for emergencies or extraordinary circumstances will NOT be accepting overnight stays. Minimum 2 nights.
(If it is an emergency do of course still reach out.)
Since now I'm using this more often, I've decide that today (January 2020) I should really update my profile created since 2016 :D
While I'm home in Costa Rica I'm mostly busy with work and Uni, so I don't check my couchsurfing a lot, but I'm always up and willing to meet up and help fellow travelers! If you sent me a request and don't get an answer, I highly suggest you to reach out to me through Facebook or Instagram: @rodberdugo
(Just because the chances of actually seeing your message there are definitely higher.
I travel quite a lot and quite often, specially to Europe. Before (because of my ex) Germany was like a second home to me, but now, thanks to a couchsurfing experience the Netherlands has taken over and now I go there a LOT! Haha.
Fortunately, because of my travels, and all the people that we've hosted at home since I'm like 12y/o (volunteers, exchange students and quite a few couchersurfers) I usually already have friends to stay with in various places; however, since last year I've decided that whenever I have the chance will always try to add at least a couchsurfing stay during my trip, just because I Think it's a very enriching experience, and to create even more and new connections/friendships :)
Used CS for the first time in Brussels last year, and it went great so I decided to do it again in the Netherlands that same year and it was fantastic! I've visited my host multiple times and now they're like family, ever since I've got all excited about it and I'm always eager and wanting to use it more and start having couchsurfing experiences more frequently!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mainly because the kindness of strangers has brought so much hope and joy to my life.
Because I travel a lot and connections/friends everywhere are super important.
I don't mind to travel alone but love to meet new people and the company of others especially when exploring or visiting a place for the first time.
And so many more reason that I'll be happy to tell you if we meet!
Interests
I love nature and therefore most outdoors activities!
Although I don't officially practice any sport, I like to stay active, really enjoy running, working out and I don't get the chance to do it as often as I wish but I love surfing and climbing.
Besides that, I'm very passionate about art, especially poetry and music.
And - as most people here I guess -I love traveling and meeting new people or sharing with fellow travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's just to much I'll try to mention the ones that I can think of right now, but be aware that I'm sure there'll be a lot missing:
Music: Classical Music (various), Jazz and Blues (various), Simon & Garfunkel, Queen, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, Manu Chao, Calle 13, Mercedes Sosa, Jack Johnson, Sublime, Glass Animals, and when partying: techno, electro and Reggaeton.
Books: Sapiens, a lot of poetry, most of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortázar, The Name of the Rose, A Doll's house, etc...
Movies: The greatest showman, Les Miserables, Schindler's List, Breathe, The account, All the "Bourne" ones, so from musical and documentaries, all the way to Action and Dramas, to romantic comedies and thrillers!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love adventure, so I've tried a lot of fun adventurous activities such as parapente, rafting, kayaking, surfing, etc.
Going on a 5 days camping and climbing trip in what's consider the birthplace of Free Climbing (Sächsische Schweiz).
Once during a layover before my last flight back home, I decided to cancel the flight and instead hop on a flight to Los Ángeles, where I've never been and had no idea on what to do upon arrival. (Worked out great btw).
Teach, Learn, Share
Up for everything! I'm always eager to learn, talk and share all kinds of knowledge and opinions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm eager to share, offer and give as much as possible.
