About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To live freely, share in community, and discover the magic of each place ✨

I'm Rodrigo, a Chilean from the south, calm, open-minded, and always respectful of others. I enjoy connecting with real people, exchanging stories, understanding how they live, what they dream, and what drives them.

In my work, I'm a CRM consultant and business mentor, but my spirit goes beyond that: I'm driven by freedom, nature, music, travel, and deep conversations.

I currently live in a tiny house in the countryside, near the sea. This has taught me a lot about minimalism, silence, and the value of simplicity. I'm also a father, an amateur musician, and a lover of running, good coffee, and a good conversation with wine or chimarrão.

I love the nomadic and conscious lifestyle. I'm starting a new phase traveling around Brazil, seeking community, inspiration, and new learning.

LIFE PHILOSOPHY
Freedom is not negotiable
Live how you want to live, not how they expect you to live
Less things, more experiences
Taking care of yourself is taking care of others
Meeting real people changes the world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

WHY I'M COUCHSURFING
Because I deeply believe in the power of sharing. Because the best way to experience a place is from the inside—with its people, its food, its customs.
I don't want to be a tourist, I want to be a part of it. I'm very interested in building human networks, not just looking for a place to sleep for free.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm in Chile, I happily welcome travelers to my beachfront property (I have Tiny Houses and plenty of space if our paths cross).
I like it when the exchange is genuine: not just arriving and sleeping, but also exchanging ideas, walking together, or cooking something shared.

When I travel, I seek exactly that from the other side: not just a place to stay, but a space for connection, exchange, and presence.

EXPERIENCE WITH COUCHSURFING
I have years of experience as a host and guest. I started with the SERVAS project over a decade ago, and during a long trip through Europe and the United States in 2000, I shared a roof with over 60 families. This experience transformed my life.

I joined Couchsurfing as a host in 2010, but I had few requests. Now I want to fully activate that traveling part.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to be a hardcore metalhead 🤘🏼, but now I listen to everything: ambient, bossa nova, introspective electronica…
I love music that takes you to other places. I've been reading more and more, from essays to introspective narratives.
I'm a fan of documentaries that blow your mind and leave you thinking for days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling across Europe and the United States for 14 months, living in over 60 different homes. No plans, just an open heart. It was transformative.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching is my way of learning. I can share knowledge about CRM, business, purposeful entrepreneurship, and living with less.
I'm also constantly learning about human relationships, minimalism, writing, and sound.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, Chilean recipes (like a good pebre or cazuela), tech tips, music I produce myself, and a light and genuine vibe.

If you just need someone to listen, I'm here too.
