Hello I’m Rory and I am from Scotland. I live in Edinburgh and I work here as a systems engineer in Aerospace related company. I also have a second job where I volunteer, and I am also a musician. I also have many other small ideas happening 😅

I don’t find myself doing much ‘surfing’ anymore , but I’m returning the favour and host backpackers to help people out and hopefully meet some cool people!

Requests - I’m pretty busy and travel a lot myself, so it’s rare that I can accept a request for very far in the future. Last minute requests for weekdays are better for me, but feel free to request anyway for visibility 👍

I love hiking and my greatest acheivement so far is climbing 150 Scottish mountains. I have walked the West Highland Way, Scotland and also trekked across the island of Mallorca. I am a qualified mountain guide. I have also trekked in the Swiss Alps, and my greatest memories are trekking through the Karakoram, Pakistan.

I love running, walking, hiking, Rock climbing and many other sports. I have travelled to Thailand, South Africa, USA east coast and Colombia as well as most of the countries in Europe. I like photography and videography and playing music. I play the bagpipes, the Scottish National instrument. Any questions just ask!
