Overview
About Me
We are an easy-going family who have hosted year long high school exchange students from Germany, Switzerland, and Thailand. We hosted a Korean student for three months and are currently acting as a respite host for a Jamaican college student. We have hosted other Jamaican short-term visitors in our home. We enjoy learning about other cultures and everyday adventures while sharing our favorite local events and history with others. We have a cat and an exuberant kid! We're considered "crunchy tree huggers" in our conservative small town, but to the average couch-surfer, we're probably typical mainstream middle-class Midwesterners.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend who also is involved in our exchange program asked us to host some couch-surfers who are coming through our area. We thought we should make this official by posting a profile.
Interests
We enjoy leisurely biking, taking walks, cultural and community events, music, but we're not above putting in a lazy night at home with a movie on Netflix once in a while!

Music, Movies, and Books
We're nerdy and prefer reading nonfiction. We like a wide variety of music and love comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rose attended a mission trip in the Yucatan, and it changed her life! Matt drove from Ohio to Boston and back with .... Kidney stones! Ouch.
