About Me
~ currently away in India and can't host until mid march :) ~
Self proclaimed artist, harper and nature lover trying to find their place in the world.
Like most people on this site, I love traveling and learning about new cultures and having good discussions with interesting people. In my spare time I play music, paint, go swing dancing and try to spend as much time outside as possible.
I worked for 2 years as a ghost tourguide in Edinburgh and I've been part of several theatre companies and a storytelling collective which I performed at the Fringe with. I try to eat a plant based diet where possible, but pretty easy going about it. I love foraging, camping and wild swimming but most of all I'm just looking for someone to share a drink and some interesting conversations with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It came to pass on a cold dark night in arctic Norway, a long time ago (well about 3 years or so). I was working on a farm through WWOOF, which swiftly turned from a gorgeous coming-of-age romp to a sort of 12A horror. This is to say, I found myself on the next ferry off the Island with little idea of where I was heading. Having very little money at the time, and being in a place with very few airbnbs and hostels, couchsurfing came to my rescue.
I've since been amazed by the generosity I've encountered here, and my outlook has been completely transformed. Being able to have more of an authentic experience whilst traveling and gaining local insight into a place, or alternatively being able to achieve this even without leaving your home by hosting, is far more valuable than an airbnb could ever be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- I appeared in a film about WW1 as a blurred figure in the background
- I saw the Northern lights
- Trekking through the tiger-filled jungle in the 40 degree heat in Nepal to count butterflies and rhinos
- Embarking on an epic 12 hour journey from Senegal to the Gambia just for visa renewal
- Orchestrating a grand art heist of my local cafe after my friend had her artwork pinched
- Worrying my parents sick (aged 7) by running off into the Saharan desert with a bedouin boy
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share traditional songs, and artwork. I also work as a mathematics tutor and I'm happy to tutor in maths or music.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd be happy to cook us a vegan meal. I also enjoy gardening and can quite happily pull weeds out all day.
