Über mich
Hey couchsurfers! I just moved back to Victoria, BC! I cannot currently host (I'm still apartment hunting!), but I will update my profile as soon as possible!
I'd like to think that I am a very positive and easygoing person. If you provide some jokes, no matter how good or bad (and yes puns count) I am sure to crack a smile. I love languages, thus I'm studying French at the University of Victoria.
I'm eager to meet new people and to have some interesting adventures! I'm tidy and respectful and look forward to staying with you!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I joined Couchsurfing because I wanted to meet people and experience their culture during my travels. To me, nothing is more valuable than the company of other people during an adventure. I mostly surfed in France, and now its my turn to try hosting!
Interessen
I love music. I'm going through a ukulele phase at the moment. Any free time that I have, it is there, firmly glued in my hands. So basically, that has been my life recently, haha. However, I do have a lot of other hobbies and interests. I've been reading French literature, I like astronomy, movies, yoga, sewing, arts and crafts, the general outdoors... My interests are pretty versatile.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Recently I've been listening to a lot of indie and folk genres. Sufjan Stevens, the Decemberists, Iron and Wine, Beirut etc. But my favourites kind of jump around. I'm a diehard fan of Metric and Death Cab for Cutie.
I love foreign films. Especially French ones, they are hilarious and quirky, and don't follow all of the strict hollywood themes. I love Amelie, les Intouchables, C.R.A.Z.Y. and la Grand Seduction. Indie movies are great too, and of course a good comedy or romance now and then doesn't hurt. But no horror movies, I scare easily.
As mentioned before I've been reading all French literature that I can get my hands on. Currently my fave French book is "Pays sans chapeau" by Dany Laferrière . If you know any good books I'd love to hear your suggestions!
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
One summer I helped raise an abandoned baby seal with a few friends. It was pretty awesome.
I've been on a three week hitchhiking tour around France to eat cheese.
I've gold panned in the Klondike river of the Yukon.
I did a two week bicycle trip through les Pyrénées Orientales.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'm not a professional or anything with the ukulele but I'd love to teach you how to play. Chances are I will have a ukulele with me.
I love learning, and trying new things, so if you have something to teach, I'm ready to jump in!
