About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy my DC summer and spend as much time in the water as I can!
ABOUT ME
I work for the world's largest environmental conservation organization, raising funds to help stop the destruction of the place we all call home. I have danced my whole life, essentially, and still love it. I used to be really good at remembering people's names but my skills have waned. I enjoy learning about other people, attempting to learn new languages, and going on adventures. I dislike frowning and unkind people. Every so often I make attempts at being organized and cleaning my room, but they never last very long (The rest of the house is nice, though!). I have many plans for the future and it will be interesting to see if I can make them all happen.
I like to spend my free time reading, dancing, and being outdoors. My boyfriend, friends and I try to get away from DC and spend a weekend camping in West Virginia or rural Maryland whenever we can. I also teach dance classes and dance with a Dancehall group called Raediant Movement.
I have lived in Washington, DC for 5.5 years, and would love to explore the city with you! I've got some favorite places but there is so much more to learn.
PHILOSOPHY
"I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing." - Neil Gaiman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen many amazing things in my lifetime - one favorite memory is reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: ballet dancing, belly dancing, how to make good no-bake cookies, random stuff about non-profit organizations, some yoga poses, empathy? I want to learn: how to play short songs on the piano. I can and want to share: travel stories and cups of hot chocolate, mixed drinks, and/or other beverages, with you! And maybe a bit of DC, too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share your smiles or your tears, your laughter or your fears. I guess we'll see how the visit goes?
