Overview
About Me
I am currently residing in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. I am Bengali from India (Bengalis are the 3rd largest ethnicity in the world after han chinese and Arabs) and Bengali is the 6th most spoken language on earth.
While I am not hosting guests in Barcelona at this time, I frequently travel across Europe/SE Asia, embracing the diverse cultures and landscapes the continent offers.
My professional journey spans over a decade as a IT Consultant.
I have had the privilege of living and hosting guests in dynamic cities such as Bangalore, Pune, and Dubai. My tenure in Dubai lasted three enriching years before I relocated to Barcelona.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an avid adventurer with a passion for hiking, rappelling, bike riding.. I maintain a regular fitness regimen at the gym to stay active and healthy. My travels have taken me to all major cities in India—including Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore—where I have both studied and worked. I have also explored various regions in the Middle East, South East asia and Europe, each journey adding to my rich tapestry of experiences.
I love the beaches of Phillipines, the food and wild life of Indoneia.
The rustic charm of the villages of Vietnam.
In my leisure time, I indulge in culinary pursuits, delighting in cooking when time permits. I am also a music enthusiast, playing the guitar, and have a keen interest in reading books on finance and history. Celebrating festivals such as Durga Puja, Diwali, and Holi brings me immense joy, as I cherish the cultural vibrancy they bring.
My life mantra is:
"We have only one beautiful life; make it grand, savor each day, live in the moment, take risks, and do not remain confined to the safe harbor. Love your parents and friends, contribute positively to society and those in need, avoid causing harm, explore new places, learn from others' lives, appreciate what you have, and find happiness."
As Mark Twain aptly stated, "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am very happy to be part of CS from year 2015.. Till date I have fantastic experience with my guests and hosts. I am in touch with all of those lovely people. I learned so much from them, about their daily life, hardships, travel stories, love stories and their philosophy. This kind of experience cannot be bought by money. This experience has made me happier, more outgoing, more relaxed, open minded and it has given me lot of positive energy :)
I want to continue hosting people from all over the globe and help them stay peacefully in my home and help them with everything they need here and become friends for life.
Please note: I am not hosting in my Kolkata residence now.
