About Me
Hey!
I’m Salar. Originally from Iran, currently a doctor living and working in the UK. I’ve lived in different countries and really enjoy experiencing life through new cultures, people and perspectives. Moving between countries has taught me how similar people actually are everywhere — we just express life differently.
I’m an easygoing, cheerful and open-minded person. You’ll usually find me smiling, exploring new places, trying local food, walking endlessly in cities, or having long conversations over coffee or wine.
I love meaningful conversations, travel stories, culture, architecture, and discovering places through locals rather than tourist guides. I’m respectful of personal space but also happy to share time if my host enjoys socialising.
I speak English, French and Persian, and a bit of German and I always enjoy language exchange and cultural sharing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best part of travelling is meeting people who turn places into memories
Some of my best travel memories come from meeting locals, sharing everyday moments, and seeing a city through someone who actually lives there. I love learning how people live, think and experience their cities.
I hope to meet kind, curious people, share stories, cook together sometimes, and create small but memorable moments during travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy many kinds of music depending on the mood — from chill electronic and pop to classical and world music. I love discovering local music when I travel.
I enjoy movies and series that tell human stories, psychological dramas, comedies, and travel or cultural documentaries. I’m also always happy with a light Netflix evening after a long day exploring a city.
Book-wise, I grew up reading the Harry Potter series, and nowadays I mostly read medical books and articles
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving between countries and rebuilding my life and medical career in a completely new system has probably been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
It taught me resilience, adaptability, and how powerful human connection can be wherever you are in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share:
• travel and life experiences from different countries
• Free medical consultation hahaha
• Persian culture and food
• good conversations and positive energy
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always try to be an easy and considerate guest. I respect house rules, personal space, and daily routines, and I’m happy to adapt to my host’s lifestyle — whether they prefer social time or privacy.
I enjoy sharing conversations, travel stories, and cultural exchange, but I’m also independent and comfortable exploring the city on my own.
I’d be happy to cook a Persian meal, share experiences from living in different countries, or simply enjoy a relaxed evening talking over coffee or wine after the day.
I always keep spaces clean and tidy, and I truly appreciate the trust involved in hosting someone in your home. My goal is that hosts feel comfortable, respected, and happy that they accepted my request.
