Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get outside of my introverted bubble :3

Growing up, I volunteered a lot, and that was my way of learning about the world: meeting different folks from different walks of life. I haven't been anywhere really, I was born and raised in Egypt, visited Kingdom Saudi Arabia, and now I am studying in the Netherlands.

I would love to see more of the world; there is a whole universe out there to understand and loads of genuinely intriguing people to meet. I am someone that loves to deeply connect with people, and I believe being on CouchSurfing will be good for me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Given that I am a GenZ, I am an absolute hoe to TikTok's algorithm and my taste in music varies greatly depending on what the app shows me haha. Jokes aside though, I like calm, Indie, and classical music. And oriental Arab music ;).

I am not so big on series; they require patience and I have commitment issues lol. I'm down for any movie that is NOT horror. I repeat NOT horror.

I LOVE books; I read whatever I can get my hands on. My favorite books are cynical, so along the lines of No Longer Human, Crime and Punishment, 1984 .. those kinds of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a tourist agency in Egypt, and there was this one time a tourist got himself locked up in a cell because of something that had to do with their visa, and by SHEER CHARISMA I busted them out of prison.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am still very young, I would say, and I am an avid learner. I don't believe I have much to give to the world; when you think about the grandeur of the universe and how the events you encounter are in fact a paltry fraction of what is going on around you, I believe that is when you reach catharsis and you can start to live freely, as yourself.
