Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Growth in character, knowledge and faith by putting myself out of my comfort zone.
ABOUT ME
I am a Swiss with a heart for the African continent and its people. I enjoy exploring new cultures and befriend people from all different backgrounds. That‘s why i moved to Addis Ababa about 1.5 years ago and started working for a small, local social enterprise, which produces the first water filters in Ethiopia besides giving cross-cultural team building trainings and design games for sensitization. It has been an adventure since!
PHILOSOPHY
Appreciate what you get and serve as good as you can!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I actually haven’t been active on CS for quite a while and just downloaded the app. It has developed massively and it would be great to become part of the community again to meet new people from around the world! Since i‘m traveling now, i‘ll have to negotiate hosting with my flatmates, when i‘m back in Addis. But i surely love to show people around in town and give travel advice.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I signed in to couchsurfing because of a fun time we had with a couch surfer from Seattle. He was supposed to surf our friends couch when she realized that she won‘t be around. So he surfed ours and we spent a few days touring around the area.
Another time, i enjoyed the hospitality of a host in Maui, HI, which i much appreciated. CS‘s just a pretty great concept!

Delivered a couple hundred, self-manufactured water filters in Ethiopias Somali region to bring safe water to the ones who need it the most.
Aaand: Receiving the blessings of the hospitality of an Ethiopian friend‘s family living in an extremely remote region for one week - a cultural experience i‘ll never forget.
