About Me
Family is huge part of my life and I love every moment I can share with them, but I also love to travel and learn, so my time is split pretty evenly among family, school, and travel. I am studying Creative Writing at university mainly because I think everyone has a story that should be told. I love traveling because it allows me to hear those stories. But even before I had the plan to tell stories, I grew up dreaming of traveling the world. Since I haven't had time to do that yet, I have filled my free time with a few other hobbies. I love sailing, hiking, exploring--anything outdoors. I am always down to run around and see the world from the street, but I also enjoy conversing behind a window and over a cup of tea, a pint of beer, or a glass of wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't remember a time that traveling the world wasn't on my bucket list. I moved to California from England at a young age and since then I have always liked the little differences in culture that I notice. It doesn't seem like a huge change, but when I do things that my family deem reasonable, I often get funny looks from my friends. The small cultural differences drive me to travel the world and be a more complete person. My favorite thing in the world is storytelling, it always has, and so it is my hope to be able to understand the little things in life and then pass them on through writing. In my opinion, the best way to learn more about myself and others is by traveling and meeting new people to listen to. Hopefully Couchsurfing will allow me to do just that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm sure my mom would have many answers to this... however, I'm finding it rather difficult. The best that I've got is that after high school I moved to Senegal for a year. I went with a program and did have support but during a lot of my time there I felt like I was alone. When I think of one thing that makes me truly unique compared to a lot of people my age, my time in Senegal comes to mind every time. I always find myself thinking about it, and most of my stories stem from my life there. I'm always looking to one up this though, so if we meet, perhaps we can do something that will give Senegal a run for its money.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very happy to make a fool of myself and, in doing so, I like to think that I often make people smile. I'm always willing to explore new places and whether that means finding somewhere beautiful and quiet to play my ukulele or great night club to make a fool of myself on the dance floor at, I don't mind. I love making new friends, but I am very comfortable on my own as well. I take care of myself and I hate to be a trouble, if I can help in any way I always will, so please let me know how I can help you get the most out of my presence. I'm willing and able to clean, be silent, bring the drinks, or (my personal favourite) cook!
