Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm very fascinated by the idea, unfortunately I haven't been able to host yet since my situation is always temporary but I would love to as soon as I have my own home. I have couchsurfed once in Paris. I just love the idea that strangers can meet and share and help each other, I would love to be a part of it and meet like-minded people

Interests

I love reading, since I was a child. I've been wanting to write for a long time, I am slowly starting! I love nature, camping and walking. I also love travelling, but most of all living in a place for a while and get to know the people and the culture (and the food). I love to discover different ways of living, I have lived for a few months in Ethiopia, I have studied in the US and volunteered in an ecovillage in Switzerland.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different kinds of music depending on my mood, I can listen to almost anything except very popular shallow music. I love Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, Fabrizio de André... I also love to listen to trance music, arabic music sometimes and I love the sound of the hang drum!

I think I have watched so many movies, these are a few of my favourite ones: Garden State, Moonrise Kingdom, Wings of desire, The legend of 1900, Forrest Gump, Dead Poets Society, Modern Times, Billy Elliot, Romantics anonymus, The truman show, samba, The gods must be crazy. Possibly my favourite is La Belle Verte.

Favourite animes: Naruto, One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist

Some of my favourite books: The Alchemist, Lady Chatterley's Lover, Things Fall Apart, 1984, The Lord of The Rings, Le Petit Prince, Désert, La Peste, The Adventures of Huckelberry Finn, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I also read lots of fantasy and romance, I wouldn't say they are my favourite but I do enjoy them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering for 6 months in an organic farm/ecovillage, living in Ethiopia like a local, it really makes you see life in a different perspective

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and share a good time around a meal, I could make something Italian for hosts :) I also love to talk about the places I've lived in and visited and about movies and books. I think I'm a good listener as well and I am interested in different cultures and alternative ways of living.
