About Me

I'm a creative soul who dabbles in painting, songwriting, singing, photography, baking, poetry, gardening, travelling and loves trying new things, seeing new places and learning about other cultures. We run a guest house www.landhausrosa.de and I teach English part-time, which gives me the opportunity to share my culture with others. I have two children who are my miracles and my husband's son whom I adore! In the meantime, my husband and I are mostly living at home alone, but we enjoy meeting people from other places. I speak English and German fluently, my husband only German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because when I go somewhere, I don't want to just be a tourist, I want to belong to a bigger family of adventurers. And I enjoy hosting as it is like traveling, but not having to pack my suitcase!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a book worm, reading classics, financial books, fantasy or whatever I can get my hands on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't count all the things/places I've seen or done. I've harvested my own coffee in Kenya, roasting the beans and enjoying a cup of coffee with completely new eyes! I worked on our family farm, enjoying the fruits of an honest day's labour. I've walked around Bali Indonesia and photographed the terraced rice fields. I've sung my own songs at churches and conferences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My family lives in a lovely little village 10 minutes by bus to the train station in Weimar and a 15 minute bus ride to the city center. We have a sleeper sofa in our livingroom, a bedroom ensuite when our daughter is not home or an atelier with a sleepersofa. It's a remnant of an old farm and the houses are 300 years old as far as we know. There is a garden, fruit trees, a trampoline and swingset for kids. We love living in our little village just outside Weimar! Anyway, you are welcome!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Spain, Switzerland
