About Me

WHY I TRAVEL

I really enjoy hearing peoples stories. I think that's what you can bring back from traveling. Not just your own, but others. So whether this means being drunk by the beach and hearing someone entire life story, or sitting on a rooftop chain smoking like silly and hearing other peoples dreams. This is what I really love about traveling. To me traveling is not just about the places you see but it's the people you meet!

CURRENT MISSION

I have always wanted to work and travel from a very young age and since falling in love with Dublin I am making it my mission to begin there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm on couchsurfing to meet others in Dublin and the surrounding area. As I will be moving to the City for around one year I can not think of a better place to meet new friends than couch surfing! I would rather couch surf than stay in a hostel before I move to my own place. This is because I feel there is no better way to get handy tips and tricks from people who have already made this gorgeous City there home! But mainly I hope to make some new friends along the way. :)

I have hosted quite a few guest in my time on couchsurfing. They have all been fantastic and I really enjoyed showing people around my City. More recently however I have surfed throughout England and Scotland on a sponsored walk/hitch hike across both Countries. This was super enjoyable for me as when you are walking alone for hours on end, there is nothing more pleasing than to get a good chat with someone else and hear all their stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Peoples kindness to open up there homes to someone new never fails to astound me. My couchsurfing experience has been so wonderful so far and I am truly grateful for my experiences with it. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In September this year I followed my dream of helping the food bank crisis in Scotland by walking and hitch hiking from London to Glasgow on my tod. As Scotland has just left our friends in the E.U against out will this crisis is only going to get worsen. Therefore I decided to try and raise as much as possible to help before I head back out to Europe. I managed to raise over 4000 pound which was amazing! What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach people how to meditate, if they wish!

MY WEE STORY ABOUT MEDITATION

Two years ago on my exchange year in Holland I met this amazing guy Kevin who I can now call one of my best friends. He showed me how to meditiate. While once upon a time the idea of meditation was laughable to me now it is part of my every day living.

Kevin told me that if i meditated for 15 minutes every day I would notice a difference in some aspect of my life for two weeks.

He also told me that it would lessen anxiety, a niggle which i always had, give me more energy, clear my mind, lessen THE FEAR (we all know how that is when you have a a wee bit too much) AND if i did it before bed i would sleep like a baby.
Sounds too good to be true eh?

Apart from all that he told me that i wouldnt be able to keep it up for two weeks, let alone a year - later i found out he knew me well and i just wanted to prove him wrong.
Two weeks later i began to clean up and take care of myself. Prior to those two weeks i lived happy enough but in a total tip. I had scattered my clothes around the room making it impossible to walk through, moved my matress to the floor lost just about everything of importance, including my keys three times in the last month. Two weeks later, without knowing it i had tidyed my room, made it a home. And i began to take care of my possesions.
Now. two years after keeping up my meditation every single day and my life has changed for the better. Negaitve thoughts are pretty much a distant past! My anxiety has decreased to the extent that in the last two months i have stopped biting my nails, one habit which i have been doing for the last 22 years. I take care of my possesions and always strive to tidy after myself and others. You will rarely see me without a smile on my face. :)

This has been a major blessing for me and I get so much enjoyment from passing it on too others. I have had such fantasitic responces so far its been crazy!

I know its not for everyone, but if you fancy it. Give me a shout! :)
