Hi all! i'm Rakshi from SriLanka. Live in Colombo currently, but i was born and brought up in Jaffna, Northern SriLanka. I've traveled extensively in SriLanka and quite a lot in India.

I quit my job early last year (April 2016) to travel, working freelance and travelling these days.
I'm a special educator/special yoga therapist by profession. i also teach Tamil to expats and non Tamil speaking fellow SriLankans.

I read a lot, watch movies in a marathon, do yoga, drink a lot of tea and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures. I'm a fairly good cook, enjoy cooking SriLankan and Indian dishes. i'm a vegetarian, teetotaler, non smoker. I can get very high on tea though :D

I like meeting people from different countries and cultures. i loveeeeee my country and I've traveled a lot in SriLanka, looking forward to help people who come to explore SriLanka in any way i can. I am also hoping to get a travel break in the next couple of years, so hoping to meet some interesting people here and learn where, what and hows of traveling.

books of course, i read reviews before i buy them and have a huge collection of best sellers and some gems of SriLankan and Indian literature. I collect books rather than reading them I must admit.

I am a cooking enthusiast. I'm always learning about food in the other parts of the word and eager to teach others about SriLankan food and Tea.
I can teach you to crochet, embroider, or fold origami like I would teach a kid as my expertise on these are limited.

I can cook you a vegetarian SriLankan meal. I can talk to you about travelling in SriLanka and India for hours over several cups of tea (I bring a good collection of tea where ever I go) and teach you some yoga if you are new to it.
