Hello, I'm Sebastien. I am 21 years old. I was born in Moncton, New brunswick, Canada but moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada when I was ten years old. I am a new traveler. I don't have much experience but I am eager to learn. I am very passionate about discovering new ways of living and what better way to learn about this than by connecting with people from different countries.

A few things about me...

I love travelling ( I mean, who wouldnt, if you're registered on this account). I've always been able to adapt to new lifestyles and I've never been one to turn down an opportunity. I think it's so amazing to wake up somewhere different every coupl of days. Makes my life so exciting.

I have fun partying but can find an amazing time having a conversation with one individual. I love to hear stories.

I am a pretty active person. I love beach volleyball, volleyball (two different sports if you know, you know hahaha), hiking, kayaking, badminton, swimming and running. Since I live in Canada, most of these sports are seasonal, so I'm kind of looking for somewhere I can do more often.

Additionally, I love the outdoors and nature. If you tell me to hike 26 miles knowing it will be worth it in the end, I will do it in one day no questions asked. It might sound corny but being in nature recenters your soul.

I love to dance and to sing. I might suck at both (however, I was in a dance troop when I was younger) , but I still love to do it. People will tell me: Seb sing less loudly and you could be good, but i rather project my voice so loud it would make you question if were still friends or if this is a method of torture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I am a novice traveler who still has much to learn. Just by browsing through different profiles on this website, I can see that there are numerous experienced travelers from whom I can gather knowledge. This is awesome because it lets me engage with them and explore various strategies for facilitating travel. I particularly enjoy traveling on a budget, and any tips would be helpful.

Also, I have a deep appreciation for immersing myself in different cultures. What better way to achieve this than by staying with locals? It provides me with an opportunity to comprehend their way of life
Lastly, staying with locals also allows me to be more flexible with my schedule.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music: I don't have specific tendencies. I enjoy music from every genre.👌 I appreciate bands like Queen, ABBA, Rihanna, Maren Morris, and many more. I love the great songwriters, such as Stevie Nicks, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Lorde, Bon Iver, Kendrick Lamar, Ed sheeran and many others. I could listen to these artists all day.
Movies: My favorite movie at the moment is the 2019 adaptation of the Louise Alcott classic, "Little Women," directed and produced by Greta Gerwig, who happens to be my favorite director. The reason why I love this movie so much is that I can identify with many of the characters all at the same time.

Books: My favorite book tends to change based on the most recent one I've read. The latest book I delved into was "1984," the classic by George Orwell. Being a political science student, it's no surprise that I love this book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In December 2022, I went on my first solo trip outside my home country. Alongside my friend, we explored northern Germany, Czechia, and Austria. Among all the places we visited, my favorite part was undoubtedly the city of Vienna. I love this city because of its amazing architecture and its enormous gardens. I would love to see these gardens in the summer or spring so I could see all the colors. This adventure pushed me beyond my comfort zone and confirmed my need for new discoveries.
