ABOUT ME
I am often torn between the habitual and the unconventional, between the safe and the unpredictable, between the uninspiring and the creative. It is difficult to break out of society's stranglehold on what we are supposed to do, in life, in our education, in our careers, in virtually any aspect of our being. But while I keep in mind the standard ways of doing things, or perhaps the expected, I often find myself doing the very antithesis of the normal way, the proven way, even the smart way. Call it rebellious, call it stupid, I call it exciting, stimulating, and satisfying. Life is too short to live by the books. Books might help, but I want to explore my own path.
Couchsurfing has certainly allowed me to do just that! Other people might call this weird or unorthodox, but I love it for exactly that!
I met so many wonderful people through CS over the years. It's truly a success that shows the fundamental human spirit we all have in us to share and give. I can only say thank you all out there that have enriched my life with their hospitality, love, humor, cooking skills, travel tips, crazy night outs, and all the little things that seem so unimportant but mean the world! I will do my best to give back just the same!
