ABOUT ME

I enjoy the outdoors, beer and intelligent discussion. Travel is a passion of mine, but I am a "home lover" as a past couchsurfing friend termed me. After seven years in Japan, I am living back in Alaska and eager to meet new travelers from around the world who are interesting in this great part of the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to host because it allows to be generous to those who have taken the time and expense to visit our hometown. It also usually gives me the opportunity to indulge in travel dreams and to live vicariously through others' travel experiences. I've also made some great friends through hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After eight years on CS, I still have only hosted, which I still find surprising. I like hosting and hope to be an actual surfer someday.
