CURRENT MISSION Make Ron Popeil a household name. ABOUT ME Hello...I've been to a few places around the world and still have plenty more to see. I've been particularly enamored with New Zealand, Hawaii and Iceland...I must have something for volcanic islands...I'm not into sitting on the beach for a week when I travel. I'm up for anything outdoorsy, running, camping, canoeing, swimming, cycling, rollerblading, and I love hiking. So far, two of my favourites have been hiking over the Arctic Circle on Baffin Island and hiking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. PHILOSOPHY Don't dream it, be it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING My involvement has been mostly hosting. I haven't stayed with anyone yet. Although CS was a great way to connect with travellers in Copenhagen and I met some great people doing so. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE As mentioned about Copenhagen, CS was a great way to connect with other travellers. I've also had some great people stay at my house. Some stayed for a short time and had to leave early the next day, others stayed for a few days and others still came back again. All have been great experiences.

Books - anything really...anything by Tom Robbins... Movies - Eastern Promises, No Country for Old Men, True Grit...almost anything Music - I'm open to pretty much anything...except new country, Celine Dion...I do like the Beastie Boys, White Stripes, Joel Plaskett...
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Seeing the Northern Lights while on a camping trip. Hiking to Everest Base Camp and crossing the Arctic Circle on Baffin Island were pretty spectacular too.
