About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moved to Seoul (temporarily) , as of June 2019. I'm looking to meet new friends of each and every type of cultural background. Looking for couch's, traveling companions and anyone who's interested in visiting my current location! ;)

ABOUT ME

My name is Brandon.

To sum me up, I'm a tattooed horror-esque dude, who can't help but swear like a bloody sailor. I`m in love with Hallowen/ Fall and everything horror.

As I mentioned, I recently moved to Hanoi, from my last location, Berlin. It's a big change, but I am looking forward to exploring Vietnam, and Asia in general. It's my first time, so there are a lot of countries I am excited to see.

I have an ever growing collection of piercings & tattoo's and getting more ink is something I look forward to and think about every day. I also enjoy taxidermy (especially custom/ rouge) and anything macabre.

Nothing makes me happier than drive-in's and road tripping it with good tunes and good people. Best possible combination; road trippin' it to a classic drive in theater for a horror-thon, and blasting 50's tunes along the way.

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I'm a fan of all things foreign (culture, food, film, etc) and I'm always on the look out for new friends of different backgrounds.

I'm a very ambitious and goal oriented person. I've got high hopes for the future & I don't plan on letting anything stop me from achieving what I ultimately want out of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Amsterdam, and have hosted once. Have met up with a handful of couchsurfers in Toronto while I was living there just to hang out!

Interests

- One of my biggest passions is cinema. I enjoy movies from a variety of countries, although besides the obvious North American films I am partial to South Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French and Italian.

- Love trying new foods! I will try anything once (not very picky). I love Japanese, Korean, Thai, Mexican and Chinese cuisine and look forward to trying many other types.

- Traveling, of course, is a big passion. I've been to 25 countries in Europe, and upon moving Asia hope to travel here extensively. There's really no where I don't want to go...haha.

- Anything horror. I like a lot of things other people deem strange. Love sideshows, oddities, Gothic architecture and art, taxidermy, etc...huge horror movie fan as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES:
I love movies in general. All genres from various countries (American, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc...)
I've been on a Korean movie kick as of late though.

A few of my latest Korean favorites were:
A Moment to Remember
A Dirty Carnival
Chaser
Breathless
Crying Fist
I Saw the Devil
The Classic

There are many many other greats...but those are just a couple of the most recent that come to mind. Out of all, I would say Oldboy has still got to be my favorite. It was the first Korean film I'd ever seen, actually!

MUSIC:
As far as music goes, I'm a big fan of psychobilly, rockabilly, punk, indie, folk, industrial, etc...but I love almost anything. Not a huge fan of rap, of "twang" country.

The Misfits would have to be my favorite band, as they were one of my first favorite bands and I hold them responsible for shaping my music taste.

A few random favorites include the Quakes, Devil Makes Three, NIN, Type O Negative, Stray Cats, Joy Division, Samhain, Mad Sin, T.S.O.L., The Damned, The Cramps, Reverend Horton Heat, Buddy Holly, The Smiths, Gutter Demons, The Clash, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds etc etc...

BOOKS:
Although I do enjoy reading, I don't really have a whole lot of favorites. Although, I do love H.P. Lovecraft and Poe.

Favorite magazine would be Rue Morgue.
