CURRENT MISSION

I have recently moved to Mexico City. I love the culture and dynamic nature of the city. You will catch me riding my bike or motorcycle in the Polanco area or walking my dog in one of the beautiful parks of the city.

ABOUT ME

I am originally from Chicago - I have also lived in New York, L.A. and San Diego. I am currently based in CDMX...but don't blink or you will miss me. Ha....

I am happy to host most of the time....let me know when you are coming and what your plans are. I will make my best effort to host you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting travelers for over a decade now. First in New York, later Los Angles, and most recently Querétaro. I also frequently participate in National CS events which are always fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CouchSurfing experience was definitely the highlight for me. I made arrangements with a man named Elek Martin to stay with him for 3 nights in Budapest. I missed my connection flight and was several hours late. He waited for me; met me at his place which was a very large one bedroom baroque style apartment in the Pest side of the city. He was leaving with his family to go up to the country for the weekend, and he simply left the keys for me and said, "Have a great weekend". "We will see you on Monday". He invited me to use his bike and he was unbelievably gracious and kind. From that moment, I had an entirely different perception of the human race. That this man could show me such kindness for absolutely nothing in return was extordinary to me. And it continues to have a profound impact on me to this day. Thanks Elek.
