ABOUT ME
I am Shai, living in Israel.
Currently traveling Scandinavia with my sister Shir
.
I am curious to see the world and learn from everything around.
I'm an social entrepreneur, graphic designer, illustrator, activist, freegan, and like to get things moving. I'm into hiking, beatbox/rap, DIY, growing and cooking food, sustainable ways of living, and always learning. I use the internet as a tool for positive change.
I can't get enough of traveling, with lots of improvisation. It gives you a ton of perspective :)
PHILOSOPHY
Somewhere, something amazing is waiting to be known.
- Carl Sagan
You can either have one guy lifting a billion pounds by himself, and it takes many years of planning and preparation - or you can have a billion people, each lifting one pound, and it takes a mere moment. This is the power of unity.
- Jacque Fresco
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
- Kurt Vonnegut

Music, Movies, and Books
Music. A huge mix of classical, hip hop, metal, electronic, jazz, funk, blues, prog, experimental, folk, and pretty much everything in between. Feed my ears please!
Movies. Things that make you think or at least freak out. Waking Life, Synecdoche NY, Lynch, Jarmuch, Jodorovsky...
Monty Python of course!
Books. I mix each non-fiction book with one fiction, which ranges between a lot of subjects and genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participated in a 36-hours Hitchhiking race in Hungary
Been stuck in a flooded town in the Atacama desert
Hitched all the way up and down Patagonia
Lived with a commune of street musicians
Fed lots of people with food unjustly destined for landfill
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach graphic design, basic film editing, beatboxing, throat singing, freestyle rapping. I can also explain about freeganism and dumpster diving, and about a sustainable food system :)
I can also teach Hebrew.
