About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To memorize the entire Big Lebowski AND see EVERY country in the world.

ABOUT ME

UPDATE: After 18 months of backpacking around the world and Couchsurfing the whole way, I'm back in KC and ready to begin hosting again!

I've learned so many beautiful lessons...most importantly...the world is GOOD!

I want to learn about you and your life. I'll play the guitar, you bring your voice. I'm self sufficient, but would love to spend time with you and your friends! I take great pride in being respectful of people's places, cleaning up after myself and being courteous to my hosts.

I'm very talkative and outgoing. I can go out with the best, but can also spend a quiet evening at home. I love intelligent conversation and exploring the city by night.

I'm most certainly likely to be "Yes Man". Would you like to go the beach? Yes! Would you like to climb that mountain? Yes! Would you like to try this dish? Yes!

I'm very respectful, clean, talkative, excitable, and inquisitive. I have a strong desire to learn new things, try new foods and broaden my perspective.

PHILOSOPHY

"What would you do if you weren't afraid?" excerpt from "Who moved my cheese?"

"'What do you do for recreation?' 'Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback.'" The Dude

"It is while we are young that the habit of industry is formed. If not then, it never is afterwards. The fortune of our lives, therefore, depends on employing well the short period of youth. If at any moment, my dear, you catch yourself in idleness, start from it as you would from the precipice of a gulf." Thomas Jefferson

"Nie wieder Berlin!" Eurotrip

Interests

Baseball, acoustic guitar, meditation, Indian food, stand-up comedy, tennis, summer walks, winter air, kebab, backpacking, parks, train rides, old horror movies, Finnish countryside, and yoga.

While I'm the U.S., I want to visit every ballpark! I love baseball and think a night out at the park is the perfect evening.

So far I've caught a game at: Kauffman, Wrigley Field, Safeco Field, Dodgers Stadium, Angels Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, ATT Park, Petco Park, Rangers Stadium, Minute Maid in Houston, Yankee Stadium, Fenway and Nationals Park.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped off a bridge in Sweden, was featured in a Wal-Mart commercial, made a crop circle, went to a sauna in Finland with 100 naked dudes and caught a donut thrown from Bruce Willis ( It's true, and a great story! )

As of this writing, I've been backpacking around the world for 14 months. Starting in Boston/DC/NY to Iceland, 5 months in EU, 1 month in the Middle East, 1 month in India, 1 month in Southeast Asia, then China, Japan, Korea and Oz...
and now North America!

Teach, Learn, Share

I pride myself in knowing how to say something amusing in every language, such as,"My unicorn is dead!" What can you add?

I love creating music! Whether it's guitar or piano or harmonica, if you can sing, let's collaborate!

I can teach guitar, magic tricks, juggling and how to say Spongebob's name in every language!
