Grew up on a small farm in East Tennessee with my five brothers and sister.
Ran NCAA D1 cross country and track in undergrad.
Fought wildfires in Alaska.
Biked across North America, Seattle to Savannah.
Substitute teacher in Nashville.
Kayaked from Nashville to Memphis on the Cumberland, Tennessee, Ohio, and Mississippi Rivers.
Got a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree.
Biked across Europe from London to Copenhagen to Amsterdam to Rome, where I worked on a farm picking olives and grapes.
Passed the bar exam.
Worked for a law firm (healthcare law).
Did criminal defense for indigent clients.
