Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I endeavor to live in the moment, without dwelling on the past or worrying too much about the future. Finding joy in taking things as they come and working to always make time for those in my path.
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, outgoing introvert, though I often project as an extrovert, I still relish time spent alone to recharge. I love travel of every sort, especially in meeting new people along the way, as connection is what it's all about. I also enjoy trying new things and plugging into the culture around me.
I'm on CS to connect with some cool human beings, but not on a physical level, just FYI. 😁🤷
PHILOSOPHY
To embrace our differences and try to find a way to relate to everyone.
"Travel is the ultimate weapon for peace."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to share any and all information I can about my area, and host travelers when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Another host has this on their profile and I stole it, as I think it sums up why I'm on CS perfectly:
"This concept is the best way to exchange world ideas and travel from home or engage in culture at its purest form when traveling."
It's been a great experience thus far. Started surfing in more recent years, but I started out hosting for years before I dipped my toe in on the traveling side. I host whenever I can, but shockingly, North Texas is not high on many tourist-y bucket lists. 😂🤷
Interests
I volunteer and travel. A lot. That, work, my many interests and the close relationships I maintain with friends and family keeps me hopping, most days.
I love tackling widely varied home improvement projects and other things that stretch my ability and knowledge - most recently I fixed a broken dryer and am currently working on re-siding my house.

Music, Movies, and Books
This list would be entirely too long and varied. I love most genres of music, tend to read light fiction, though I'll dig out a heavy tome on occasion and listen to non-fiction regularly. Don't watch a ton of TV at home, but I'll binge something periodically and occasionally enjoy going to see something at the movie theater.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have difficulty narrowing it down to one thing. My best experiences in general have been asking someone what they recommend or enjoy doing themselves, no matter the language, and going with it, it takes me somewhere I never would have gone otherwise and gives me some of my most cherished memories.
This has led to walking blindfolded through an incredibly intricate sand maze before a sunrise meditation, unexpectedly finding out how much I love belay rock climbing, kayaking for 5+ hours where baby ducks hopped on and off my kayak, and eating some exquisite foods that to this day I still have no clue what they are.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love yoga, meditation, personal finance, psychology, philosophy, strategy games, home renovation, business and all manner of other things.
Any sort of thing you're knowledgeable and passionate about will be something I want to hear about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Breakfast (pancakes, an omelette, fried eggs, etc) or dinner (beef tacos, pasta, stir fry, fish), or if you want to try out another dish together, let me know! 😄
