When I was seven years old I decided my goal in life would be to meet as many people as possible

ABOUT ME

I am a professional circus artist currently living in Atlanta, Georgia- but I travel so much that it's not worth me re-verifying my location. I read a lot, write a lot, and am always looking for a good book. I enjoy stretching. Also, I like people who smile and say what's on their minds.

PHILOSOPHY

"Some people do hide and others seek. Maybe those who are hiding- escaping encounters, avoiding surprises, protecting their property, ignoring their fantasies, restricting their feelings, sitting out the Pan pipe hootchy-kootch of experience- maybe those people, people who won't talk to rednecks, or if they're rednecks won't talk to intellectuals, people who're afraid to get their shoes muddy or their noses wet, afraid to eat what they crave, afraid to drink Mexican water, afraid to bet a long shot to win, afraid to hitchhike, jaywalk, honky-tonk, cogitate, osculate, levitate, rock it, bop it, sock it, or bark at the moon, maybe such people are simply inauthentic, and maybe the jackleg humanist who says differently is due to have his tongue fried on the hot slabs of Liar's Hell. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only surf other peoples couches, but one day I hope to give back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hitchhiked/couch surfed around Europe in 2008, met some amazing people, and then did the same around New England summer and fall of 2009.
One day, I'll settle down with a couch of my own.

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Harold and Maude and anything by Jean Paul Jeunet.

Music: Rap (Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, Outkast, Talib Quali), Indie/Folk (Ani DiFranco, Regina Spektor, The Mountain Goats), also strange instrumental stuff like Davka, Dead Can Dance and Steve Reich.

Books: anything book by Tom Robbins (I've read them all, and if you haven't read Still Life With Woodpecker, let me know and I make sure a copy lands in your hands), I also love the greek dramatists (Euripides is my favorite) the Iliad is beautiful as well. Right now I'm reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tart.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I climbed Mt. Olympus this summer with my friend Evan. We had to do it in a day because we were on a really tight schedule, but it was something I had dreamed of doing my whole life. When we got to the top, we poured out a libation and Evan said a prayer in ancient greek asking the gods for world peace.
