About Me

Learn to let go!

I feel like my travelings changed me quite a lot. At the moment I am very happy with my life. My travelings in Asia are a very unique experience for me and it made me very happy. I try to enjoy my life as much as possible & to let other people take part into it ;)

“Climb the mountain to see the world, not so the world can see you.
David McCullough Jr.

If you look into your own heart, and you find nothing wrong there, what is there to worry about? What is there to fear?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I meet someone who I think is trustworthy and has the spirit, I share the idea of couchsurfing. And of course I try to be a good guest or host.

I have surfed couches all over Asia, including Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Tajikistan. I had some of the best experiences in my whole life, some of the people I met by CS became good and close friends. I am very happy about the way CS changed not only my trip, but even my life.
I was happy to host a few people who visited my hometown Speyer and my new home Ulaanbaatar:)

Of course I love to travel and everything which somes with it: getting to know foreign cultures and people, realizing that we have more in common than i might have thought. I love to be outdoors: hiking, climbing, swimming, cross-country-skiing and other sports you can practice outside.
I enjoy to be active: going out exploring, but I am also the kind of guy who needs a break from time to time, just hanging out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I currently enjoy some laidback kind of music, some rap, some electro, some alternative. I enjoy it so much :D
There are loads of movies I like, I love watching good movies. My taste is like: Jim Jarmusch's Ghostdog, Takeshi Kitano's Brother or Sean Penn's Into the wild

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent days and nights with people who don't speak my language, we cannot communicate with words, but we feel the same way. I love these experiences.

I am amazed by people who I have met for only a few days, but it happens that they know me better than people who I have know much longer.

I was lucky to meet some people along my way who have enriched my life so much. I am very thankful for these experiences.

I love loads of things and I hope to stay like this for as long as possible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy learning as much as possible. Can be anything. Language, a new recipe, something about your culture. I am welcome to any kind of exchange.
What can i offer? The first thing which comes into my mind is, that I am a cross-country-skiing coach back home. But that's propably quite difficult to teach sometimes :) But I am sure that there is something else I can teach. Useful or maybe just very random stuff^^
