Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling till recently was a contained thrust in me, towards experiencing life. There was always a secret desire when I travelled across highways, to step out of my car and meet people to how know how their life could be.
I've seen tourists who walk kilometers in thirst to buy a Bisleri while I met a village crowd who drink the water from tank next to the Biogas.
I have started my quest in finding self.
Look forward to meet interesting souls, hosting / wandering in the same unknown territory I'd be in.

Interests

- Learning new languages.
- Tasting authentic specialities of the place, if possible join the folklore and learn preparing a few delicacies.
- Listen and learn the different traditional music and its meaning.
- Audience in village drama and stories. If opportunity knocks, I wouldn't mind be ing a part of the dance, drama and celebrations.
- I love animals be it, street dog or a Tibetan Mastiff or a butterfly.
- Yoga is an integral part of my life.

On lonely trips I enjoy listening to Izhayaraja & Rahman Music, Reading Books, Swimming, Adventure - Jungle Treks, Cooking, Spirituality and Philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is one of the integral part of my day. It can't be niche'd to any particular category.
My day can start with Yesudas and Izhayaraja and end the day with Sufi and
Western Classical & Instruments. I kinda have an affinity towards wind and percussion instruments Piano, Flute and Saxophone cannot be sidelined.
At times, I can endlessly listen and play Tamboori .

- Books - For me, genre of books constantly change age to age.
Favorite book among fiction - Leo Tolstoy War and Peace, White Tiger, And yes, Fairy Tales, O Henry short stories.
- Non fiction - Goals by Brain Tracy.
- Movies - Animated movie anytime.... especially the Iceage series, Madagaskar Series, Ratatouille
- Knight and Day, Adam Sandler Movies.
