I split my time between Brooklyn and the mountains of southern Haiti, where I’ve been building something real with my own hands for over a decade. I started Grown in Haiti to restore the land, grow food, and help farming families reconnect with what’s always been theirs. I’m a photographer, a father, and a land steward. My daughter is growing up with more fruit from our land than most people ever taste in a lifetime. That’s the kind of life I’m about. I believe everything moves in cycles. Nothing is wasted, not time, not effort, not even pain. It all feeds the next season. growninhaiti.org

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Here for real connection, not a free bed. If that’s all you’re after, pass me by. If you want to share stories, exchange something real, or just live simply for a moment, I’m open. Good conversation, honest presence, mutual respect. That’s the exchange.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music moves with the mood. Some days something grounding, other days pure rhythm. As long as it moves something real. Films that go deeper than the surface. Mr. Nobody, Enter the Void, Love, Zero Theorem, The Fall, Watermelon Man, The Holy Mountain. Stories that don’t follow the rules. Reading to explore different minds. Murakami always. Island Beneath the Sea, 100 Years of Solitude, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, One Straw Revolution. Books where reality and something harder to name exist in the same space.

Teach, Learn, Share
Growing food, restoring land, working with wood, photography, and living close to nature. Always open to learning whatever is real and brings more understanding.
What I Can Share With Hosts
What I have is yours if you come with respect. The space, the time, the table. Bring your own towel and soap, and bring your real self. Respect the land, the people around you, and the rhythms of the place, and you will feel at home.
My Interests
Regenerative farming, photography, reading, metaphysics, fruit trees, and being a father.
