We are Amrei and Simon, ... and our children Fridolin (born December 2014) and Olivia (born June 2017) :D

We basically love and enjoy the nature. Hiking used to cover a lot of our free time, but as it is, we are getting older, and we have other occupations, like our children. We enjoy the simple things and we like it to keep things uncomplicated, although we are often those ones who makes things more complicated, sadly ;D

Simon:
Well i am a little nerd, i am really into the whole IT-stuff, beneath university i already worked as a part time web-developer. But i am also into nature and love to have a strict line between work and social life, which is very important to me. I started a "social club" in my home town to organize more events and to encourage others to do so. Well the most of my free-time is spent with other peoples and try to keep away from the computers, but sometimes it doesn't work so well...

Well it looks like i am working, and now i am Father, ... bummer, life is progressing so fast, but i still have not figured out what to come :D

Amrei:(allthough written by simon)
Well she is a fundamental person, really homebound and stick to the basic things. We are living basically at her place, and from there i know how great it is to have a own garden, we literally living from this garden the whole summer.
She is a vegetarian for nearly 25 years (started with 11 years) and is quite into the sustainability topic (with also an social club and a shop).

Fridolin and Olivia:
They are now 11 and 8 years old and he loves guests (in the beginning they are sometimes shy).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

basically hosting and meeting people from all around the world, and surfing sometimes. Well there is not much going on in this little village and from time to time it is nice to have some cultural exchange!

Interests

We are both nature lovers, we like to hike, go for a walk and so on. We are also really into photography, not really good, but it is getting better, our camera is always with us. And we like to cook and eat, although we don't eat everything, Amrei doesn't eat meat and fish and all the stuff vegetarians don't eat and i am sometimes really picky, i still try to test everything, but it is really hard for me sometimes.

Amrei instead is also into the creative stuff, like music (she even was/is in a band) and she loves to do handicraft. Her greatest Interest is and will always be horses - damn those horses !!!! :D

- Kajaking in Linnansari Nationalpark ( 8°C cold water = 8 minutes surviving time)
- hiked the Karhunkierros Trail
- Rafting on the Salza
- Finish Theater
- cycling the curonian spit
- Hiking on Helgenes

Simon:
- Try to survive a snowstorm in a outdoor toilet at haldde observatory
