I was born and raised in a colourful home in South Africa, my mother who is Afrikaans and my father who is Greek provided a rather interesting and somewhat festive atmosphere, let alone the country itself with its multitude of languages and cultures. Upon completing my highschool matriculation (maturite in french), I left home and began my solo travel experiences by moving to London and did some cocktail bar work to stay afloat. I returned to SA after 7 months and began to study my third try at university (p.s I did not fail the other two times, I just was not convinced enough to finish it- chem eng)
after completing a year of these studies I decided to move abroad to Switzerland with someone I had met from there and I have been living here since 2012. In between I had an exchange with studies which took me to The Netherlands and put me in contact with many foreign students from around the world. My love for exploring new cultures and places and taking chances to see the world in differing contexts excites me and I love to meet and share with new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student alone (my family are all in SA) sometimes it can be a bit tough to find ones way around but through communities like couchsurfing and other various travellers platforms and services, things have become more exciting and somewhat more possible. I am open and maybe one day you and I will meet :P
