About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understanding the world, travelling around it

ABOUT ME

I'm curious about almost everything, committed to some of those things...
For the last several years, I've travelled the world trying to understand it better and to understand myself as well. I think that we're the only ones responsible for our choices and the result of them, so I try to be as happy as I can with the tools i have.
When I don't travel, I try to do the same while settling down, what a challenge!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing gave most of us the chance to experience for a short time how other people live, and often guest and host are able to learn from each other, at the same time that they provide a touch of their personal vision, making possible a fair and free learning exchange, different at any time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crowds of people have always surfed my couch/floor/house/event tent, long before joining Couchsurfing.
Once as a CS member i feel lucky and privileged to have surfed many couches in more than 70 different countries! So many great experiences, learnings, smiles and memories too difficult to describe here, and impossible to forget.

Interests

Traveling, learning ,hitchhiking. Yoga, meditation and thai massage, sailing and diving. Western and alternative medicine, helping and be helped, ...
Meeting different people wherever i go, talking to them, learning from them, enjoying the cultural exchange, playing with languages...
Nature! with an admitted weakness for mountains (specially 'my' Pyrenees) and everything under the sea.
Enjoying a sunny morning with a good book, a noisy storm, movie night sessions, playing and listening to music, laughing with friends, sometimes parties, listening to the rain, developing my own ideas, sharing the thought that another world is still possible and contributing to it whenever is possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mmmmmmmm, what a difficult question, it depends on the mood of the day!
I can appreciate anything but in general I do prefer alternative movies.
Music, too many differents styles: Rock, songwriters, metal, world music, reggae, jazz, punk, folk, indie...
And about books... i'm recently reading a lot by Hesse, Saramago, Benedetti, many travel books too... and anything interesting that falls into my hands!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last winter I achieved my dream of setting foot in Antarctica and sail along the white continent in a tall ship.
Traveling around the world during 3 years, mainly by hitchhiking; sailing across the North Pacific and South Atlantic oceans. Meeting wonderful people everywhere I go and sharing the experience with them, bringing back so many friends, smiles and memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything could be shared, what we share just depends on the person you are with, the moment, the atmosphere...
beautiful conversations, stories, dreams, food, massage, music, books, uthopias, drinks, alternative ways of living, movies, politics, travels, projets...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Any CSsurf was an occasion to experience and share something different: a quiet chat in front of a hot tea or a glass of wine, a crazy party , a night walk alone in the city, hiking in the mountains, interesting conversations, reflections, laughs... most of the times I like to cook some typical spanish or "exotic" dish or any other improvised gesture with my host.
