CURRENT MISSION to learn ABOUT ME I am of the opinion that being on planet earth requires you to be kind to others..help if you can...experience and learn as much as time allows...i enjoy people and conversing with all walks of life...i enjoy people who can embrace our uniqueness as different cultures and not judge because of them...how about you? PHILOSOPHY I have noticed that my personal philosophy has been an evolving one...so most importantly i try not to judge anyone on their outward appearance...and even more i try not to judge on their deeds without knowing where they are at...this is not easy ...live and let live...be kind and considerate...everyone has their own stuff...i will elaborate another time..

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I don't yet...just joined so watch this space!! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE None yet...but thought I may as well tell you if you stay at my house be prepared for NOISE!! I have four kids...two boys and two girls...boys 14 and 12, girls 11 and 9...we have four animals...two dogs one very loving and boisterous Golden Retriever and a cheeky little miniature schnauzer...two cats...mostly out and about...my eldest boy is a drummer and we love music! However I will save you from being overwhelmed by the little people....they will no doubt be very interested in who you are and what you are doing on this planet...you will have privacy ...AND you will be warmly welcomed and have FUN! So now don't say i didn't warn you...
Music, Movies, and Books
ah this one is tricky...i don't watch a lot of movies cos i prefer to read...but i did enjoy Shawshank Redemption a LOT! Ok that is a few years ago...but i told you i don't really do movies... i do enjoy them though...books are my PASSION...i read mostly non fiction..autobiographies fascinate me...if i look around in my office now i see a lot of psychology books..books that make you think..philosophy...Billl Bryson cos he can go where i can't presently...good thrillers Tess Gerritsen stuff...Daniel Goleman..Ken Follet...i enjoy any Carl Jung..conspiracy theory stuff...Music is eclectic...i love the true legends of rock..metallica, led zeppelin, ZZ top...Deep Purple..Canned heat...also Prime Circle (brilliant South African band you HAVE to listen to this!!) Daughtery...The Parlatones (another SA band!!) UnderOath...Disturbed...Red Jump Suit Apparatus...some alternative stuff...Linkin Park...Good charlotte...some Korn....30 seconds to mars...The Used...the list can go on and on...oh ya and Seether..how could i forget them!!!

I am presently studying counselling...my elective subjects are addiction, trauma, grief and loss and adolescence...this keeps me quite busy inbetween my children...travel is a passion of mine i haven't yet been able to explore to my satisfaction...this is top of my list when i get to the point that i can do this! Understanding or attempting to..understand the human mind is my interest...should have done psychology when left school..but i am a late bloomer and so i shall attempt to make up for lost time now...well its never lost the focus was just missing..no regrets...i know i can learn something from each and every one of you.

reading...lots of it! Art, psychology, humanity, the bigger picture, philosophy, meditation, people, travelling...seeing new things...body art...studying...salt and pepper sets...the royal family...jewellery...painting...history...etc etc
