About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I attend school for fashion design, I really enjoy traveling all for the love of fashion, I took the train to SF to see Guo Pei, the only Chinese woman to have been a guest of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, breath-taking pieces. Christian Dior's exhibit in NYC, the Smithsonian in DC has amazing textiles and all sorts of historical garments, and costumes.

I LOVE to eat, open to trying everything except certain exotic meats.

Self-growth is an essential part of my being, I do it all, cry at therapy, cry at karaoke, cry from laughter, cry for the immense gratitude of always being in good hands. It's getting very scary traveling alone, so when I pray to God, when I thank the universe, when I give food at the altar, I can't help but feel blessed, and protected to have gotten to experience the world freely and safely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of meeting up with other CS's, it's been so much fun. I've hosted a few, from Turkey, helped out a guy from Russia plan and execute an engagement, and stayed with Surfer in Mexico, thank you Rafa!!!

I love meeting new people and rather crash on your couch or hostel than to stay at a fancy hotel solo. I want to know your world, you'll know exactly where to eat!

Interests

I adore all aspects of creative arts. I love being near the beach (ALWAYS soothes my soul) and dancing, I have a bad case of tarantism . I also enjoy star gazing, long conversations, hiking, cooking, reading, music and art shows, wine tasting, bar hopping and getting lost...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have an eclectic ear, I grew up listening to salsa, cumbia, merengue, Spanish country music. In high school my peers showed me punk, ska, rap, R&B, techno, 80's and oldies. As I got older I started appreciating jazz, country, EDM, and international sounds.

Movies: Clockwork Orange, Kill Bill, 30 by 30, Y tu Mama Tambien, Like Water for Chocolate.

Books: Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, Eat, Pray Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a Vipassana meditation retreat in Hawaii last Summer. 10 day vow of silence, deep meditation, finally experienced euphoria and true, self LOVE.
