Hey there

I'm a young vibrant woman living in South Africa, Johannesburg. We moved here from Cape Town over 2 years ago. My husband I will be celebrating our 4th year anniversary this year. We met while we were in medical school in Cape Town.

We love traveling and experiencing new places, people and energies. We have been focused mainly on thoroughly getting to know our beautiful country and its beautiful people. Thus our travels have been to all the corners of South Africa whenever we get a chance to travel. But unfortunately due to us both being doctors, time is usually against us. But every weekend we are free, we are out and about, exploring, meeting new people, bussing to Durban, driving to Mpumalanga, flying to Cape Town, etc.

We love music, absolutely LOVE LOVE food, dancing, fashion and consider ourselves artsy creative people.
My husband is into craft beer, woodworking, climbing, hiking, swimming, adventure sports, reading, surfing, hip hop, Afri soul, kizomba dancing and so much more we need to discover.
I enjoy movies, dancing, climbing, swimming, watching series, reading, sewing and design, resting, socialising, painting, photography, video making, trying new things and meeting new people.
We also enjoy concerts of local and international artists, art exhibitions and museums, galleries and pop up events.

We are really excited to meet new people who are down to earth, open to life and what it has to offer.
We also enjoy debating and exploring ideas and philosophies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfer because we found that travelling to places and focusing on "tourist" destinations does not give a full view of what a place's social construct, history and culture truly is. By being part of couch surfing we get to immerse ourselves with the real people of that place who have dealt with its realities and beauties time and again. They therefore have certain insights, opinions and ideas about that place. Truly far more interesting to converse and enjoy the city along with its people.

For us that is far more interesting and tantalising than attending a well packaged "tourist attraction". We also get to make life long friends.; challenge our views and ideas; enjoy company with the entire world, wether hosting or being hosted.
