About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world through the eyes of locals.
ABOUT ME
Starting November 2015 I am starting to work as a Merchant Mariner so will be travelling a lot internationally, and nationally when I am not working. I have no permanent residence so hosting is out of the question for a while.
I have many interests such as music especially festivals, taprooms, coffee drinking, and obviously traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find experiencing a place more enjoyable with a local than staying on your own at a hotel. Sometimes you just need a free place to stay as well and that's why Couchsurfing is great.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most genre of music, preferably live Bluegrass, Folk, Mumford and Sons, Jason Isbell, blues, etc.
My favorite books include Ender's game, Harry Potter, Jack Reacher (just finished all of them), Vonnegut, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rented a motorcycle on a whim in Guatemala and rode it from Lake Atitlan to Xela and back. Riding down the mountains to the coast and back up and around a volcano to get back to the Lake was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can teach you about American life, especially Midwestern... Perhaps offer some exercise advice and teach you a predominantly American sport or something. Someday I might be able to teach you about ship-handling.
I am mainly interested in learning the same things about your culture: Life in general, Sports, History, some language.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Costa Rica, England, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
