Über mich

CURRENT MISSION

Experiential living

ABOUT ME

I graduated from college in the spring of 2010 and since then I have begun to explore my life path as well as this beautiful country we call home. I traveled with a burrito stand to music festivals across the US including Bonnaroo and Mile High. I worked a three month and Internship with the National Park Services at Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico during the summer of 2010. Afterward I continued driving west and made it to the California coast and some spectacularly wild locations. Starting in January 2011, I began work for the Bureau of Land Management in Carson City, NV as a field botanist. The Eastern Sierra landscapes were absolutely gorgeous but It's now time to move onto something new!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've utilized the community for my cross country trips during the winter. The nightly conversations helped me to maintain my sanity during those long days of driving.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

During a solo backpacking trip in the Pecos Wilderness of New Mexico I sat atop a rock slide, gazing out across the land at a beautiful sunset. It was then that I heard the loudest, most piercing howl from the tree line just feet away. I felt this sound so incredibly deep within my chest that it stirred a profound sense of fear. The howling was followed by some yiping and barking. Minutes later, after the noise had ceased and my heart had settled, I noticed a small group of coyotes slowly trotting across the open glade further down the slide. It was my most intimate experience with coyotes and will always remember that sensation.
