ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Jacob Sobel. From August 2010 - 2011 I taught English in Daegu, South Korea! What a wonderful experience. After teaching in South Korea I backpacked around Asia for about 7 months. After backpacking around Asia I moved to Ecuador and lived with a family in an Indigenous community for three months working on organic farms and teaching English in the local community schools. After that I taught English in Riobamba, Ecuador for 9 months and then backpacked throughout South America for 6 months! Currently I am getting my Masters of Social Work at the University of Georgia and hope to do International Social Work upon graduation.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like having fun and meeting new people. I love learning about new cultures and making new friends. I am down to earth and easy to get along with. I am up for anything, may it be a dinner party with friends or a night until the early hours of the morning!

My favorite movies are City of God, Blood Diamond and Blow. I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pretty Lights, Paul Simon, Guns and Roses, Bob Dylan and Dispatch
