Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Living happily; I enjoy life. Luis (Abby) is sometimes here with me.
ABOUT ME: I/We enjoy conversation with fascinating people of diverse backgrounds.
I retired June 28, 2024 giving me more time to visit, travel, etc. I went on an US East Coast road trip from July - November 2024. https://dapr48.blogspot.com/2024/06/blog-post.html
When I first Joined CS in 2008, CS recommended using an Alias or Nickname rather than our real name...:) Sockburner, Sock = Dennis. PLEASE acknowledge this in your request.
PHILOSOPHY
I Regularly meditate or practice mindfulness. I accept all rather than subscribe to any one belief; there are many paths.
I try employing The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz, as best as I can to many situations...
1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Avoid Taking Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Rather than Making Assumptions,
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

Interests
Traveling as much as possible in the US, since, I let my passport lapse.
Movie Night is underrated. We have Cable with on demand movies, HBOMax, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Paramount+ and Netflix. Let's have some drinks, prepare a meal together, enjoy conversation, maybe take a walk in the neighborhood or on the River Walk then watch a movie.
Tampa's downtown is flourishing. The Bayshore and Riverwalk are wonderful. There are bike rentals, scooter rentals, boat rentals, SUP rentals, etc.
