I moved to Hawaii after a few years living nomadic on the mainland. I'm here to practice art and do a little healing for my body and mind. I plan to return to the mainland sometime in 2020.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to find ways of sustaining world travel for some years. I spent my early twenties working away in an academic library and glued to a computer. Now, I want a different way of life. Mostly I want to spend my days doing art and exploring the world.

I've been trying out various options for becoming fully nomadic, and couchsurfer seems like an excellent tool to have in the belt. I like the way the community is set up to encourage friendly and welcome connections between hosts and surfers. It seems like a wonderful way to meet new and interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music interests: Folk, Blues, Jazz, Dub, EDM, classic rock, folk.

Books: There are so many that have I've loved over the years in lots of different genres. Currently I'm reading through queer fiction. Super big comic nerd, (though I don’t really read marvel/dc much anymore). I like stories that are positive, not really into the war, horror, abuse etc. I have a master's in human rights violations, and I've read enough of that stuff for a lifetime.

I'm still alive. I'm seriously amazed most days, given some of the insane things I did through my 20s.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music, art, dancing, hiking, or just laying on the beach. I want to be enjoying my moment, learning, exploring and adventuring.
