About Me

We are a small family of 2 people living in a house with extra space.

I love to dance swing (just recently rediscovered the absolute joy), reading SF, seeing new things at home and abroad. Have travelled extensively in Asia.

My youngest daughter (17) plays the guitar (used to be the trompet), and enjoys spending time with her friends. My oldest daughter (19) has moved from home but will be visiting from time to time (we hope!).

My daughter is a vegetarian while I'm an omnivore - so food can be anything :)

We are pretty relaxed and do not have a lot of rules. However:
* It is not a bnb, so please do not treat it as such. You "pay" for you stay by being gracious, sharing a meal at least some of the days, participating in small talk and discussions when you are around. Of course you are also in Denmark to see things - by all means, please do so without feeling that you owe us anything!
* please join in with the cooking once in a while. We love to taste all kinds of food :)
* we do not accept any kind of drugs (also not marijuanna). Smoking (ordinary cigs) always outside.
* you are welcome to help yourself to any breakfast items in the kitchen. Please check with me before cooking a large meal so I know what we might need.
* we do not have a curfew - but we do expect you to be considerate and avoid unnecessary noise if you get home after midnight.

Apart from these rules, pretty much any and all lifestyles are welcome in our home. If you have any practices -- dietary, religious/spiritual, cultural, clothing, anything -- please feel free to engage in them during your stay. (Most?) anything you would do in your own home, you can do in mine.

Any questions -- ask!

I sincerely hope you enjoy surfing with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are primarily interested in Spanish-speaking people!

My daughter is learning Spanish at school and we would love to get Spanish speaking people visiting. In return we offer hospitality, English, "hygge" and time well spent around Copenhagen, Roskilde or at home sharing dinner, conversation and lots of other things.

We hope to have discussions, learn about your way of life back home, eating and cooking together.
Who knows? Maybe friendship will be forming :)

Interests

Have quite a collection of English Science Fiction books - and you are of course very welcome to read them during your stay.
And even though we live smack in the middle of Roskilde we do have 5 small hens in our backyard. The deal is: they get our leftovers - we get eggs.... Although sometimes they behave just like freeloaders - not an egg in sight for weeks :(
