Overview
About Me
Hey there! I am from Mumbai..the city that never really lets you sit still. Growing up in this chaos has made me love the mix of cultures, flavors, and energy that flows through its streets. But while Mumbai is home, my heart keeps pushing me out into the world. I thrive on discovering new places, people, and perspectives.
I’ve spent over 20 years in sales and marketing, and for the last decade I’ve been running my own consulting practice (www.cmooutsourced.com). It’s fun, keeps me learning, and gives me the freedom to work from anywhere. A freedom I try to use as much as possible.
That said, I’m more than my job. I’m a backpacker at heart - happy with just the basics, always curious about the unknown. I write photo-poetry (yep, mixing pictures and words is my thing), sketch once in a while, and love wandering through cities on foot just to watch life unfold. You’ll find some of my poetic musings on Instagram @soneshprakash
I’m not the party-all-night type, but I love shared laughter at a stand-up show, the quiet magic of a play, or a heartfelt conversation during a long walk. Public transport is my favorite way of exploring. It makes me feel like I’m living the city, not just visiting it.
My dream? To live as a digital nomad, hopping from country to country, tasting the best vegetarian street food, working with interesting startups, and collecting stories along the way.
If you’re into travel, conversations that go beyond small talk, and cultural exchange, we’ll probably get along really well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, Couchsurfing is about the people. Some of my best travel memories come from being hosted by generous CSers across India. They didn’t just give me a couch—they gave me stories, laughter, and friendships. In return, I’ve shared sketches, poems, joined them at weddings (yes, gatecrashed a few!), and even helped with their businesses. That give-and-take is what keeps me coming back.
I can’t always host since I live with my parents, but I love showing people around Mumbai, introducing them to street food, hidden corners, or even just joining for a chai and chat.
